Many fans of hip hop music believe that Marshall Bruce Mathers III, 44, who is professionally known as Eminem, is the greatest rapper alive. However, rapper Vince Staples, 23, disagrees and believes that the title belongs to Kendrick Lamar, 29.

Staples was recently a guest in “The Cruz Show” on Power 106. When J Cruz referred to Eminem as the greatest rapper alive, Staples was quick to disagree.

“We could say Michael Jordan, but he's not beating Lebron one on one,” Staples said. “If we're talking about right now, it's Kendrick, easy, not even close.”

Cruz insists that among the rappers who are

still alive, no one is better than Eminem considering his record-breaking sales. Still, Staples does not even consider the “Rap God” rapper as the second best.

For Staples, Eminem is not even better than Kanye West. The overall influence of Kim Kardashian’s husband on art and pop culture is a significant fact, according to Staples.

“We gotta separate commerce and art when we talk about music,” Staples explained. “You don't get in the museum by having a lot of money.”

On April 14, Friday, Lamar released his fourth studio album titled “Damn” under Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records and Top Dawg Entertainment. The album has 14 tracks including three collaboration songs namely “XXX” featuring U2, “Love” featuring Zacari and “Loyalty” featuring Rihanna.

On the other hand, West released his most recent album “The Life of Pablo” on Feb. 14, 2016

under Def Jam Recordings and GOOD Music. It is his eighth studio album and seventh solo album.

Like West, Eminem has released eighth studio albums. Fans of the “Rap God” rapper are expecting that he is releasing his ninth studio album before 2018.

Eminem’s eighth studio album titled “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” was released on Nov. 5, 2013 under Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records and Shady Records. With Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin as executive producers, the “Rap God” rapper co-produced the album with DJ Khalil, Luis Resto, Jeff Bhasker, Frank Dukes, Vincent Venditto and Sid Roams, among others.

“The Marshall Mathers LP 2” has 16 tracks. Four of these tracks are collaboration songs namely “Love Game” featuring Lamar, “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, “Headlights” featuring Nate Ruess and “A-----e” featuring Skylar Grey.

“The Monster” is the fourth and most recent collaboration song recorded by Eminem and Rihanna. The first three were “Love the Way You Lie,” “Love the Way You Lie (Part II)” and “Numb.”
