Fans of Marshall Bruce Matthers III, who is professionally known as Eminem, are hoping that he will release his ninth studio album before 2018. With his recent social media post, there is a possibility that he is collaborating with a fellow Detroit rapper.

Eminem took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with young African-American rapper named Nasaan Holton, who is professionally known as Nasaan. The “Rap God” rapper mentioned neither his upcoming album nor a possible collaboration but he expressed his support for Nasaan.

“I'm proud of what he's becoming as a rapper, back when we took this photo a

few years ago I didn't even know he was taking music serious,” Eminem wrote. “Proof is somewhere real proud too!”

The “Rap God” rapper was referring to the late Detroit rapper DeShaun Dupree Holton, who was professionally known as Proof. The latter is Nasaan’s father.

Proof was Eminem’s childhood friend. The two rappers co-starred in “8 Mile,” which was released in 2002.

In 2005, Proof played a basketball convict in “The Longest Yard.” A year later, he was killed by a gunshot during an altercation at the CCC nightclub in Detroit.

Nasaan is the founder of FIOM Records. As a rapper, he described his style of music as an eclectic one in an interview with Death Kiss Media.

One of the first songs recorded by Nasaan is titled “Menace.” For him, it is beyond being just another cool song because it is about society and how the people within tend to negate or

categorize a person based on little things, such as appearance and interest.

Nobody would probably know what “Menace” was really about if Nasaan did not reveal it, the rapper noted. At this point, he is confident that he can express his message more clearly than he did in his previous lyrics.

It was in 2012 when Nasaan started his career as a rapper. Among the artists he considers his music influences are Lil Wayne, Drake, Rocky, Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar.

In other news, Lamar is set to perform at Rihanna’s third Diamond Ball charity event hosted by Dave Chapelle in New York City on Sept. 14. The fundraising event will benefit Eminem’s four-time collaborator’s Clara Lionel Foundation, Rolling Stone reported.

Fans are still waiting for the fourth collaboration song of Rihanna and Eminem. The songs they recorded together are “Love the Way You Lie,” “Love the Way You Lie (Part II),” “Numb” and “The Monster.”
